Abstract
The general trend is for increase in the number of electric cars, but at the same time it is necessary to expand the charging infrastructure. With the construction of new charging stations, certain problems arise in the electrical networks, especially in urban areas. Single-phase and three-phase charging stations up to 22 kW are the most widely used in the public buildings. For a preliminary assessment of the impact on the existing electricity network and planning of the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, it is appropriate to have adequate models of charging stations. In this paper, a classification of the types of charging stations is made and a Matlab model of a charging station powered by a DC power supply is presented. The model allows the station to operate in two modes: grid to vehicle (G2V) and vehicle to grid (V2G). The results of the simulations are presented.
