Abstract

The metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have been emerged as a new family of porous materials and a corner stone for research in the field of structural tenability, long-range order, and rich host–guest chemistry. The progress in this field since 2000 has attracted the interest of researchers from different disciplines and motivate them to be active in the area for advanced functional designed materials and particularly MOFs. The synergy of the scientists’ expertise from all these fields provided important edge and spread to the MOFs chemistry. This review addresses synthetic approaches of MOFs by using pyrazole nitrogen subunit. Then we report some of their properties promoting their employment in batteries applications.
