Abstract

A novel zero-dimensional cadmium hybrid metal halide (C 19 H 18 P) 2 CdCl 4 single crystal was synthesized by inserting (C 19 H 18 P) + into a [CdCl 4 ] 2− tetrahedron lattice through a slow volatilization method, which was proved to be a promising X-ray detector.
