Abstract
Electricity is regarded as the foundation of the industrial revolution. In order to fulfill the widely increasing demand of the electricity which has to be transmitted to many household and industries, it has to be produced and transmitted at larger amount. It is slightly difficult to transmit such a large amount of electricity in very flexible and efficient way as the size of conventionally used relay and protective devices will increase while transmitting such a large amount of electricity which will increase the operating cost. So for transmission of such a large amount of electricit smart FACTS devices are used. In this paper the comparative analysis of unified power flow controller (UPFC) is presented in presence of LG fault. MATLAB/SIMULINK was used for simulation of the controller network. It is concluded that UPFC with t FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER has a better performance compare to UPFC with the PI controller.
