Abstract
Herein, we introduced a new method for the synthesis of bis(3-indolyl)pyridines. Accordingly, ammonium acetate was introduced as a dual reagent-catalyst role, for preparation of bis(3-indolyl)pyridines without using any toxic solvents and co-catalysts. Also, the cooperative vinylogous anomeric based oxidation (CVABO) theory plays a synergistic effect for the aromatization of final product. The final structure of products has been verified using FT-IR and 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR techniques.
