Abstract

)-ones and other N-heterocycles with commercially available, low-cost alkanes under ambient conditions using phenanthrenequinone (PQ) as a photocatalyst was developed. This transformation has advantages of environment-friendly protocol, mild conditions, good functional-group tolerance, and high yields of products.
