Abstract

The interface plays a critical role in load transfer within SiCp/Al composites. However, the material’s complex internal structure presents challenges, limiting effective methods for predicting interfacial strength and fracture toughness between particles and the matrix. This paper offers a thorough review of recent developments in the study on the interface constitutive relationships of SiCp/Al composites, covering experimental research, theoretical modeling, and finite element simulations. The existing challenges and future directions are discussed. The research results contribute to the improvement of the method obtaining the interface constitutive relationship of SiCp/Al composites, and provide theoretical foundations for the optimization of process parameters.
