Abstract
In today’s world, many Internets of Things (IoT) system has been developed in the agriculture sector, especially in fish breeding. Anabas Testudineus (Puyu fish) is one of the favorite aquatic creatures that have been bred for commercials used and needs to be handled carefully for their healthier life habitats. Aquarium’s water becomes unclean due to the reproduction of algae, waste from the fish, the palette, and others. Hence, a Smart IoT-Based Aquarium Monitoring System for Anabas Testudineus (AMSAT) has been designed and deployed to ensure that the water in the aquarium is safe and clean for Anabas Testudineus breeding. NodeMCU controller was used and connected to pH and temperature sensors with an embedded Wi-Fi module built into the microcontroller allows the smartphone to connect with the cloud for real-time data collection. The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Lighting Emitting Diode (LED) are connected to view information on the water condition. Arduino software (IDE) is used to generate code while the Blynk data analytic platform will presents analyzed data via a smartphone. Four tests were done to measure the pH level after feeding the fish with and without a water filter in 2 and 3 days. Results present the pH value has dropped the lowest for Test 2 at 5.66 pH value compared to 7.17, 7.31, and 7.06 after feeding the fish for 2 days and with filters. This system has been successfully viewed and monitored in real-time via Blynk mobile apps on the pH and temperature levels. This research is significant for Anabas Testudineus breeders that support the agriculture sector for recent technology deployment.
