Zero‐input‐current ripple high voltage‐gain DC‐DC converters—A new design approach

Abstract

Abstract Although numerous high‐voltage‐gain converters have been proposed, the input current ripple problem associated with high voltage gains is yet to be fully developed. In this paper, a systematic approach is proposed for novel power converter topologies design, to address this problem. With the proposed design guideline, a series of DC‐DC converters with zero input current ripple (ZICR) and high voltage gain are developed. Then, detailed analyses are presented using a typical converter to reveal the working principle and detailed parameters design. Lastly, simulation and experimental verification is conducted, which verifies the effectiveness of this design.
