Abstract
Data breaches are becoming more common as companies are transitioning to using cloud providers to host their databases. The databases include not only proprietary information about the companies themselves, but it will also contain personally identifiable information of their clients. Breaches are exponentially increasing because information are more readily available to be exposed. Instead of being in a local data center, an attacker can remotely expose weaknesses to a cloud platform. Subsequently, it harms millions of people associated with the vulnerable organization. The goal of this paper is to present a summary of what a data breach is, and how every organization can be vulnerable. Even the major corporations that billions of people are subscribed to and rely on.
