Abstract
Diagnosis, prevention and treatment in diabetic nephropathy Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the microvascular complications of diabetes affecting 30-40% of diabetic patients and represents the leading cause of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Treatment strategies are rare. Given the significant healthcare impact and high economic burden of DN, there is an urgent need for adequate and targeted management of the disease for early diagnosis and prevention of progression to ESKD.
