Abstract

Microwave-assisted synthesis using l -glutathione as the sulphur source and ligand yields Ag 2 S nanocrystals in a size range of 4–17 nm. Their evolution from the amorphous to the crystalline state leads to tuneable emission from 930 to 1220 nm.
