Abstract
Inhibitory effect was shown in germination and seedling growth of crops by the aqueous extracts of all weeds. Rhizospheric soils of parthenium and lantana reduced the germination and seedling growth of crops. Parthenium hysterophorus and Lantana camara exhibited the greatest allelopathic effect against oat and wheat.
