Abstract
A biphasic liquid electrolyte based on the kosmotropic effect is presented to fulfill the requirements of anodes and cathodes. Kosmotropic anions enable demixing of aqueous and nonaqueous electrolytes, improving redox kinetics at cathodes and Zn 2+ cyclability at anodes.
