Load Balancing Algorithm of SDN Controller Based on Dynamic Threshold

Abstract
In order to solve the problem of unbalanced control plane load in software defined network(SDN), a controller load balancing algorithm based on dynamic threshold(CLBDT) is proposed, which adjusts the controller load through the designed dynamic variable threshold adjustment mechanism, and migrates switches under heavily loaded controllers to other lightly loaded controllers, so as to adapt to the dynamically changing and uneven network traffic and complete the load balance of the control plane. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is superior to relevant algorithms in improving the load balancing of distributed controllers and contributes to improving network performance.
