Abstract

This paper proposes the importance of improving the power quality of the Shunt Active Power Filter for grid-connected PV generation system. Power Quality is one of the developing tasks in grid connected system. Grid connected solar system includes PV system, De to DC Converters, battery, three phase inverter, power electronics devices & loads. Three phase inverter works as active power filter which introduce current equal and opposite of load current and intern advantages in decreasing the current harmonics and avoids passive filtering which effects the active System Performance. The complete system is tested for compensation under unbalanced and balanced load conditions. The proposed model is examined & simulated results are verified by using Matlab/ Simulink.
