Stylistic approaches to pop culture

Abstract

The rationale for this collection of papers and the conference from which they emerged is that pop cultural texts are a part of pop culture, that the primary tool or lead discipline in the analysis of such texts should be linguistics, and that therefore the linguistic (or stylistic) analysis of relevant artifacts is necessary. The place of pop cultural texts among the forms of cultural studies is guaranteed in advance.
