Magnetic skyrmions, chiral kinks, and holomorphic functions

Abstract

Here, the authors propose an alternative approach to the description and classification of 2D chiral skyrmions in terms of closed domain walls and chiral kinks. Combining analytical solutions at the Bogomol'nyi point given in terms of holomorphic functions with advanced numerical methods, the authors find many previously unknown chiral skyrmion states, and estimate their stability for a wide range of parameters.
