Abstract
Crosswalk accidents involving pedestrians remain a major problem in highly populated places. It provides a unique solution to this problem by connecting vehicles with pedestrians through the Internet of Things (IoT) and improving pedestrian safety through vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P). V2P communication prevents pedestrian accidents in the proposed system. Smart crossing management systems collect real-time pedestrian and traffic data from IoT sensors. These IoT devices include cameras, sensors, and connections. V2P communicates between vehicles and pedestrians at the crossing. The smart crossing management system improves traffic safety and efficiency and reduces pedestrian accident risk. This system might increase pedestrian safety in high-traffic areas during peak hours. IoT and V2P communication provides more intelligent and linked transportation to the environment, helping smart cities become mobility.
