Raquel Trujillano, F.M. Labajos, V. Rives
Abstract
In this review we intend to show how hydrotalcite-like materials find a large number of applications; among others, in the chemical industry as an additive during polymer production, in the treatment of different kinds of waste, as a regenerative solid sorbent for capturing CO2 in coal fired power plants and also in pharmaceutical industries. The market for hydrotalcite will primarily be driven by growing demand from the chemical and pharmaceutical Industries in the near future So, the study of the synthesis procedures in order to find a fitted method useful to obtain the desired solid with the required properties will continue to be interesting for research projects and publications.
