Abstract
This study investigates the evolution of technologies aimed at energy transition and sustainability, analyzing their potential impact on ecological and economic systems. Using data from Scopus and patent records, it identifies promising technologies, including offshore wind turbines, carbon capture storage, electrochemical CO2 conversion, bioconversion of CO2, sustainable ammonia production, and cellular agriculture. While some of these technologies are already making strides in the market, others remain in the research and development phase. The study underscores the importance of these technologies in reducing CO2 emissions and environmental degradation, offering insights for policymakers and investors. It emphasizes the need for countries to transition from fossil-fuel-based economies to embrace circular economy principles, renewable energies, and clean production practices. Despite limitations, this research sheds light on critical technological pathways for sustainable development and ecological transition.
