Abstract
Intense NB-UVB emission at 312 nm and super-long persistent luminescence for >100 h have been realized in a LiCaPO 4 :Gd 3+ phosphor after ceasing X-ray excitation, accompanied by a remarkable white-to-brown photochromism phenomenon.
