Abstract

HIGHLIGHTS The contamination of blanks by airborne fibers in the lab was investigated. Microfibers could be overestimated in fish’s gastrointestinal tract and surface water. We tested and approved an Airborne Contamination Control Protocol (ACC Protocol).
