Abstract
In this study, we report a multifunctional edge detection strategy based on the spin Hall effect of light in a dichroic polarizer. By leveraging the uniaxial properties of a dichroic polarizer, it is possible to achieve second-order edge-enhanced imaging, two-dimensional edge-enhanced imaging, and bright-field imaging. Our approach employs the dichroic polarizer to generate the second-order spin Hall effect of light and selectively filter out unwanted polarization components, simplifying the experimental setup compared with previous methods. This strategy offers an economical and efficient solution for multifunctional imaging.
