Abstract

Reliable readout is a crucial ingredient to successful operation of a spin-based quantum computer, but current approaches either utilize invasive device structures that hinder scale-up, or constrain qubit operation with specific tuning requirements. In this study, the authors realize digital spin readout via an in-line charge sensor housed in a cavity-coupled triple quantum dot. This system's strong readout response combined with its retained device flexibility lends itself to future scaled architectures in multiqubit experiments.
