Unlocking veiled oxygen redox in Na-based earth-abundant binary layered oxide

Abstract
The charge compensation mechanism of P2-type binary Na<sub>2/3−x</sub>[Mn<sub>1/2</sub>Fe<sub>1/2</sub>]O<sub>2</sub>oxide is reinvestigated to unlock veiled oxygen redox reactions upon charging and their activities are selectively determined by transition metal configurations.
