Abstract
) in tumor microenvironments (TME), and form highly cytotoxic hydroxyl radical (˙OH) to kill cancer cells. Recently, nanoscale metal-organic frameworks (nMOFs) have attracted considerable attention as promising CDT agents with the rapid development of cancer CDT. This review focuses on summarizing the latest advances (2020-2022) on the design of nMOFs as nanomedicine for CDT or combination therapy of CDT and other therapies. The future development and challenges of CDT are also proposed based on recent progress. Our group hopes that this review will enlighten the research and development of nMOFs for CDT.
