Abstract

<p dir="ltr">Transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) is caused by myocardial deposition of misfolded transthyretin protein-forming amyloid fibrils which can result in symptomatic heart failure (HF).<a href="https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2772963X24006859?via=ihub#bib1" target="_blank">1</a> The only medication currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of ATTR-CM is tafamidis which has been shown to reduce cardiovascular-related hospitalization and all-cause mortality (ACM).<a href="https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2772963X24006859?via=ihub#bib1" target="_blank">1</a>
