Abstract

The micropolar fluids apply to certain polymeric solutions, lubricating fluids, colloidal expansions and complexes. Due to these significant applications, the present study is devoted to the magneto-hydrodynamic micropolar fluid flow and heat transfer over a stretching sheet in the presence of viscous dissipation, heat generation and slips conditions effects. The proposed phenomenon in terms of partial differential eqautions is transformed to ordinary differential equations by using similiarity variable formulation and is solved by utilizing bvp4c solver. The numerical solutions for the velocity profile f′(η), angular velocity g(η), temperature profile θ(η) and mass concentration ϕ(η) along with the skin friction f′′(0), angular velocity g(0), the rate of heat transfer θ′(0) and the rate of mass transfer ϕ′(0) for diverse values of pertinent parameters involved in the flow model are determined. It is noted that by increasing material parameter K, the velocity field decreases. It is observed that owing to increasing the values of magnetic field parameter velocity field declines and angular velocity rises well. It is seen that an increase in heat generation parameter γ results in reduction in the velocity profile, and by increasing values of Eckert numberEc, the temperature field increases.
