Photoredox-catalyzed selective deuterodefluorination of α,α-difluoroarylacetic esters and amides

Abstract
A highly selective photocatalytic deuterodefluorination of α, α -difluoroarylacetic esters and amides with D 2 O is presented. The use of a catalytic amount of disulfide is crucial for both the C–F bond activation and the C–D bond formation.
