Introduction to Fluorescence Microscopy
Unknown authors
Abstract
This handbook covers three main areas. First it deals with the physical principles of the phenomenon of fluorescence and fluorescence microscopy (including transmitted versus incident illumination) and gives a detailed description of the various parts of the microscope: lenses, filters, and light sources. It goes on to discuss the main applications of fluorescence microscopy, for example immunofluorescence, microfluorometry (including absorbance and fluorescence photometry), and fluorescence photomicrography. The final chapter, on trouble-shooting, will enable the reader to solve the most common problems in fluorescence microscopy. -- AATA
