Abstract
Abstract Herein a radical hydroxyalkylation of N ‐heteroaromatics with aldehydes is reported. The constructive merging of photochemistry and electrochemistry is the key for the success of this atom‐economical Minisci method. This protocol highlights the utility of electrophotocatalysis to promote a practical and general synthesis of secondary alcohols in good yields from readily available N ‐heteroaromatics and aldehydes under mild reaction condition. magnified image
