Abstract
First Mo IV 3 -Keggin anions [Mo IV x M VI 12− x O 40− x py x ] 8− (M = Mo, W; x = 3, 6) display unprecedented empty Keggin structure caused by the weak u 3 -O coordinating capability of the [Mo IV 3 O 4 ] triads and LCF-dependent hydrogen transfer catalysis.
