Abstract
In the view of first anniversary of COVID-19, this article focuses at the first COVID-19 case in Kosovo, a 22-year-old woman who came from abroad. COVID-19 has become a major threat to the health of the youngest population in Europe. We also considered the efficacy of restrictive measures, such as lockdowns, in Kosovo. This study shows that this report presents clinical outcomes as they pertain to the patient under study. Different presentation and results of diagnostic tests would have warranted different treatment approaches. Exigencies presented by each particular case must be carefully assessed, and sufficient staffing is required to ensure focused attention for each case. Our report showed the approach of the medical team to a new condition with the potential for un-expected symptoms and without a clear treatment and is a representative case of how COVID-19 can be treated, and the general approach to treatment in Kosovo. In future public health emergencies, measuresneed to be taken to ensure clear messaging to the generality of the population as well as protective measures on the institutional level.
