Abstract

The balance jack is the key component of the two-column shield hydraulic support connecting the top beam and the shield beam. The failure of the balance jack under the impact ground pressure in the fully mechanized coal mining face can easily lead to its failure and affect the safety support. In order to improve the impact resistance and safety support performance of hydraulic support and solve the problem of easily damaged balance jack, a new structure of balance jack is proposed in this paper. The performance of the pressure relief and buffer protection process is verified based on AMESim, and the unloading hole is optimized. The results show that, compared with the traditional balance jack, this new balanced jack can achieve fast buffer unloading when the hydraulic support is under impact, and has better impact resistance. The optimized unloading hole diameter is 3 mm and the number is 10.The results provide a reference for solving the impact failure problem of the balance jack and improving the reliability of hydraulic support.
