Abstract
Two different mechanisms were obtained in the selective oxidation of cyclohexene catalyzed by CuCl 2 and VCl 3 respectively in presence of TBHP. The two opposed mechanisms are mainly caused by the roles of the t -BuOO˙ radical in catalytic oxidations.
