Abstract
B 4 O 7 2− dissolves molten TiO 2 at high temperature, exposing filamentary channels and resulting in the repeated nucleation of microarc in the same area. SiO 2 formed from SiO 3 2− blocks the channels and induces microarc nucleation in other regions.
