Abstract

• The reaction rate of PFAS can be high up to 2.400 h −1 in hydrothermal treatment. • Additives can greatly enhance the performance of hydrothermal treatment for PFAS. • Hydrothermal treatment reduced 71% of energy consumption than waste incineration.
