Abstract

Oil temperature is an important factor which affects the flow characteristics in the orifice and the liquid force acting on the valve core. Based on ANSYS Fluent 15.0, the two-dimensional axisymmetric flow model of the hydraulic valve is established, and the flow field characteristics under different oil temperatures are investigated. Considering the relationship between the viscosity and oil temperature, the change of flow velocity, pressure, flow rate and turbulent kinetic energy in the channel of the valve is discussed, and the influence of oil temperature on the steady-state fluid force of valve core is also obtained. A test rig is built and the steady-state fluid force acting on the core of the valve is also measured by a force sensor experimentally. The results show that oil viscosity decreases with the increase of the oil temperature, the flow rate and the maximum flow rate in the flow channel also increases, while the turbulent kinetic energy at the valve orifice decreases. With the increase of oil temperature, the axial force acting on the valve core decreases, so as the steady-state fluid force. Our research results could provide help for reducing the hydraulic force and improving the control precision of the valve.
