Abstract

Sleep deprivation is a major issue driving attention in the medical and healthcare department. There are some traditional approaches, such as polysomnography, medical counselling which are usually expensive and, in those process, person needs to stay overnight at clinics, and there has been a need of cheap solution for sleep monitoring system throughout the night. So, there is a need of a low-cost sleep monitoring system which can be used conveniently at home. In this paper, a solution which is a low-cost multimodality sensor-based system, such as MAX30102 and MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope that monitors heart rate sensor, body temperature and position of the sleeping body has been proposed. These sensors will be interfaced with ESP32 microcontroller, and these sensors will collect all the data throughout the night and will send it to cloud which will be visible to user on the base station. At the morning the patient can see abnormality in the quality of sleep and can consult the doctor as well.
