Abstract

Enantioselective <italic>N</italic>-alkylation of indole-2-formaldehydes with isatins catalyzed by NHCs is described for efficient synthesis of functionalized cyclic <italic>N</italic>,<italic>O</italic>-aminal indole derivatives.
