Abstract
An aminoquinolate diarylboron-catalyzed photoredox hydroxylation process has been realized herein. Via aerobic oxidation of organoboronic acid derivatives under air, a variety of functionalized phenols can be obtained in good to excellent yields. This protocol does not require the use of metallic (photo)catalysts and oxidants. It is also distinguished by green and mild conditions, simplicity of operation, and broad substrate scope.
