Employee Satisfaction and Firm Performance: Evidence from a Company Review Website

Abstract
Prior research shows that employee satisfaction is positively related with firm per-formance. This study exploits employees’ reviews from Glassdoor.com as a measure of employee satisfaction and built a novel dataset which combines Glassdoor reviews with financial data from Bloomberg. The preliminary results from both OLS and IV models are consistent with prior research. More analysis needs to be done to validate the results.
