Abstract
The hard carbon volumetric capacity improves by decreasing the electrode porosity after calendaring (<italic>d</italic><sub>002</sub> decrease). The initial CCoulombic efficiency is enhanced when the specific surface area of ultra-micropores and the active sites are diminished.
