Abstract

Two-dimensional ultrathin mesoporous anatase TiO<sub>2</sub> nanosheets with engineered surface defects are fabricated <italic>via</italic> evaporation-induced self-assembly, solvothermal and hydrogenation, which exhibit excellent photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
