Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA was found in 21% of the aerosol (n = 38) and 39% of the mask (n = 23) samples collected from Wuhan hospitals early in 2020 Viable virus was isolated from one surgical mask, but not from any of the viral RNA positive aerosol samples
