On the nature of solvothermally synthesized carbon nanodots

Abstract
The fluorescence of the solvothermal CNDs investigated is dominated by small molecules and their photoproducts, not by emission from sp 2 domains. Singlet oxygen production, however, depends on the graphitic cores.
