Mechanistic understanding of lithium-anode protection by organosulfide-based solid-electrolyte interphases and its implications

Abstract
The mechanism by which organosulfide-rich solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) protects the Li-metal anode (LMA) is shown. By examining the role of different functional groups, design rules to engender favorable SEIs for stable LMAs were formulated.
