Abstract
VO 2 NPs trigger endoplasmic reticulum stress, release of calcium ions, and overproduction of ROS, leading to a significant proliferation inhibition and apoptosis in macrophages. VO 2 NPs display higher responses and toxicity than bulk VO 2 .
