Abstract

Metal-free, photoredox-catalyzed aromatization-driven deconstructive functionalization of spiro-dihydroquinazolinones with α-CF 3 alkenes is achieved with high chemoselectivity. Mechanistic studies suggest a radical pathway for this cascade reaction.
